Mid Sussex submitted the district plan to the Planning Inspectorate on 8 July – the next step in the planning process leading to an examination, in public, by an inspector. We don’t yet know when that will be. The council think the hearings should take 10 days, and they are asking for dates in October.
If you want to see what’s been submitted, follow this link. Has the council listened to what we, and other respondents have said? Of course not! They say they have made minor changes, but claim “These proposed modifications do not materially affect the substance of the plan, its overall soundness or the submitted sustainability appraisal.”
Over the next few weeks we’ll be examining that claim ourselves, looking at how many people responded; what they said, and what changes have in fact been made to the plan. We’ll post the outcome of our review!
