Proposed building developments affecting Albourne and Sayers Common. 

Below is a list of developments sizeable enough to warrant attention. If we feel a proposed development presents a threat to the integrity of our local area, we will launch a campaign to monitor and if necessary object to its implementation.

 

Sayers Village and Hamlet

Developer: Berkeley Homes

Size : > 2,300 houses

Stage: Independant Inspecion

Campaign: Active

Named Sayers Common Garden Village, this proposed development sits on the Land to the South of Reeds Lane, Sayers Common. A portion named as “The Hamlet” is located to the south of The Henfield road, within Albourne.

Further sites proposed for Sayers Common have also been added to the plan (see maps on our home page).

Developer: Croudace

Size: 120 houses

Stage: Appeal dismissed

Campaign: None

Land South of Henfield Road, Albourne. This development had already moved into the appeal stage when WILD was launched, which is why a campaign wasn’t set up in this case.

Size: 7,000-10,500 houses

Stage: Rejected
